Ontec and Strategic Sales Inc. announce alliance

Monday, May 06, 2002 - Ontec Electronics Marketing, Inc. of Rochester, New York and Strategic Sales, Inc. of New Jersey announced an alliance of the two organizations. Ontec will now be known as Ontec SSI with coverage throughout Upstate, New York.

In announcing the merger, Jack Keegan, President of SSI, stated, "We feel there is tremendous amount of synergy between the two companies. When we looked at expanding into Upstate New York we felt we could best serve that market by working as one company with Ontec Electronics rather than as a separate entity. As a result of having several principles in common, the two companies have had the opportunity to get to know each other over time. When we thought of going into Upstate New York, it only made sense that we would partner with Ontec."

Joe Bellanca, President of Ontec added, "We are excited about the opportunity to serve the Upstate New York market as Ontec SSI. This will allow Ontec SSI to strengthen and enhance our expertise and coverage in the Upstate market. We are adapting to current market needs and establishing, Ontec and SSI as the premier manufacturer sales representative."

Ontec SSI will be governed by a four person board consisting of Joe Florio (Chairman), Joe Bellanca (President), Jack Keegan (Chief Operating Officer) and Carl Bellanca Jr. (Chief Financial Officer). Ontec SSI will continue to operate out of the existing Ontec office in Rochester, New York. All personnel will remain the same.

With this alliance, SSI can now offer sales representation from Upstate, New York through Alabama. Ontec SSI joins SSI and Novus SSI as alliance partners committing to bringing the bestin sales personnel to the markets they serve.
